Acetaminophen Use = Eye Illness and Asthma

Acetaminophen is used in a large number of pain and cold medications, the most well-known of which is Tylenol. A study of 322,959 adolescent children from 113 centers in 50 countries found that “use of acetaminophen was associated with an exposure-dependent increased risk of current asthma symptoms” as well as “an exposure-dependent increased risk of current symptoms of rhinoconjunctivitis and eczema.” (Rhinoconjunctivitis symptoms would generally be classified as allergy symptoms.)
This massive global study should remind everyone that all drugs have side effects, the only question is what are they and when will science discover them all?
