Chocolate Shown Good for Heart and Mind

It isn’t often that you hear that the food you like (and thought was “bad for you”) is actually beneficial to your health. Such is the case with chocolate, that almost irresistible temptation that seems to be the base of many desserts.

A study presented in Paris found that “the highest levels of chocolate consumption were associated with a 37% reduction in cardiovascular disease and a 29% reduction in stroke compared with the lowest levels.”

 Not only is chocolate good for you, but more chocolate is even better for you!

These findings certainly don’t justify a diet consisting entirely of chocolate. But they do suggest that chocolate plays an important role in our health. And while further studies may discount the health benefits of chocolate, for now, we have reason to indulge… in moderation of course.
