1) I am sitting here on March 13, 2024 and already it is apparent that Donald Trump, the whiny, vindictive, loudmouth, pseudo-Nazi, presumptive White Supremist and utterly useless overweight former president of the United States will be elected again during the general election in November 2024.
This event will live long in the annals of collective bad decisions in US history alongside slavery, prohibition, and failing to join the rest of the world in using the metric system.
Without a doubt, a second Trump term will deepen racial, and ethnic tensions in the US.
Sadly, Trump represents the worst instincts of American voters who have shown fear in the past towards minorities, migrants, and the poor. Many believe that Trump will benefit them in some way by saving their employer money or lowering their employer’s taxes, or in some way keeping their employer happy so the jobs remain. History has shown this not to be true – jobs will never again be safe like they were in the 1950s-1970s.
It is utterly fascinating to me to see Blacks, Women or those who are both Black and Women state that they will vote for him. Trump HATES Blacks and HATES Women! He also hates anyone not born in the USA!
Trump has made it his personal cause to roll back regulations that protect people from the worst excesses of polluting companies and fight climate change. The worst conditions for pollution usually occur in the neighborhoods where the poorest Americans live (so, to him, they don’t matter)
My voice is drowned out by the shouting and red hats of Trump’s followers but let me pose two questions to those who will consider them:
a) What did you gain from his last presidency?
b) The common fear that people raise is that Joe Biden is old. Why does this matter – are his policy suggestions wrong or outlandish? Are you motivated by a fear of Kamala Harris because she is a woman and brown?

Please recall that on October 7 Hamas went deep into Israel and shot to death 1,200 innocent people in their homes and at a concert

Please recall that Hamas kidnapped 240 Israeli citizens and brought them back to Gaza as prisoners with the intent of raping many of the women
For all the Palestinians who have been routed out of their homes and the starving children you can’t just blame Israel without taking into account why the IDF is there in the first place

If your sister or mother was raped or your family killed what do you think that you would want to do to the people who openly admit that they did this? That is the value, to you, of their lives and their dignity. Could you become philosophical and forgiving or do you think that revenge would be your first response?

I speculate that Israel would withdraw if the remaining hostages were released or accounted for

There are billboards around NJ stating “Stop Jewish Hatred”. No one cares that it says this. It doesn’t say “Stop Israeli Hatred” (a country) but JEWISH (a religion) – this is a deeply anti-Semitic billboard!
If it said “Stop Hindu Hatred” there would be protests. If it said “Stop Muslim Hatred” I promise you that there would be a heated response and claims of xenophobia.
In both cases it would be pointed out that most Hindus are not violent and that most Muslims don’t live in the Middle East. Two things that are true of Jewish people here in NJ.
3) We all know the history of the United States included bringing 388,000 African people to the US to be used as slaves.
In JAMAICA, one million (yes, 1,000,000 people) were taken from Africa and also became slaves there. Yes, one million!
4) March 14 (3/14) called Pi Day is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.
Hmmm… interesting coincidence don’t you think?
Perhaps he mastered time travel and came back just to make that serendipity happen…
