Exercise Instead of Drugs for Migraines
Migraine headaches also have a variety of treatment options. Exercise has been shown to reduce the frequency of migraine attacks. A recent study showed that those migraine sufferers who exercised for 40 minutes three times a week saw a reduction in the number of migraine attacks. Researchers concluded that “exercise may be an option for the prophylactic treatment of migraine in patients who do not benefit from or do not want to take daily medication.”
All drugs have side effects. The first choice for migraine sufferers should be chiropractic care, nutrition and regular exercise.
