HAMAS Edition

October 7

Please recall that on October 7 Hamas went deep into Israel and shot to death 1,200 innocent people in their homes and at a concert

October 7

Please recall that Hamas kidnapped 253 Israeli citizens and brought them back to Gaza as prisoners with the intent of raping many of the women

For all the Palestinians who have been routed out of their homes and the starving children you can’t just blame Israel without taking into account why the IDF is there in the first place

October 7

If your sister or mother was raped or your family killed what do you think that you would want to do to the people who openly admit that they did this?  That is the value, to you, of their lives and their dignity.  Could you become philosophical and forgiving or do you think that revenge would be your first response?

October 7

I speculate that Israel would withdraw if the remaining hostages were released or accounted for

There are billboards around NJ stating “Stop Jewish Hatred”.  No one cares that it says this.  It doesn’t say “Stop Israeli Hatred” (a country) but JEWISH (a religion) – this is a deeply anti-Semitic billboard!

If it said “Stop Hindu Hatred” there would be protests.  If it said “Stop Muslim Hatred in the MIddle East” I promise you that there would be a heated response and claims of xenophobia.

In both cases it would be pointed out that most Hindus are not violent and that most Muslims don’t live violent lives nor do most live in the Middle East.

Two things that are true of Jewish people  here in NJ but the signs are specific about JEWS being the problem.

People are not the problem.  Governments are the problem.

Just so you know, while the people of Gaza suffer, Hamas leaders live in various locations, primarily in Qatar, where they enjoy luxurious lifestyles in hotels and villas[1][2]. Ismail Haniyeh, Moussa Abu Marzuk, and Khaled Mashal are among the top Hamas leaders residing in Qatar[2]. Some Hamas leaders also live in Egypt and Turkey[4].

Where do you think that the money they spend comes from?  The leaders of Hamas (and, previously, the PLO) have used the people of Palestine as a revenue source since the beginning of the state.  The leaders NEVER lived where they had a danger of dying [e.g. Palestine itself]!

I got this result from asking the question about money  to PERPLEXITY on March 20, 2024.  Perplexity is an AI program.

Hamas receives funding from various sources, including international aid, cash injections from Iran, Qatar, and other partners, cryptocurrency, taxes, extortion, smuggling, and real estate investments globally (1,2)). Iran has been a significant financial and military supporter of Hamas for years, providing around $100 million annually. Additionally, Hamas levies taxes on businesses and residents in Gaza, imposes unofficial fees on smuggled goods, and engages in cryptocurrency transactions to fund its activities. The group also benefits from donations from private individuals and groups in countries like Turkey, Kuwait, and Malaysia. Moreover, Hamas has received substantial financial aid from Qatar through the United Nations to cover civil servants’ salaries, fuel for the power grid, and support for needy families in Gaza.

Ask yourself this question: the leaders send their soldiers into Israel to kill 1,200 people and kidnap 250 more, safe from the repercussions of their acts.  Does anyone still believe that these acts are righteous or good for the people of Gaza?
