Licensing Laws Restrict Access to Affordable Providers Like DCs
New research from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University has concluded that improving access to lower cost forms of pain care such as chiropractic “may potentially improve the efficiency of the healthcare market in the United States.” 


In the study, researchers examined how laws regulating chiropractors and physical therapists affect the health care system. In a U.S. News & World Report article about the study, the authors say “less invasive and less expensive treatments” for back and neck pain are sometimes the better option and that “patients should benefit from a full menu of choices when seeking treatment for their ailments.”
