Many Benefits of a Vegetarian Diet


I am not a vegetarian but studies show that it can have many benefits.  What I have learned is that we can all benefit from trying to be “more vegetarian” and/or try to eat less meat to get many of these same benefits.
There are many good health reasons to eat a vegetarian diet or at least one rich in fruit and vegetables. A recent review of the scientific literature found that “a large body of evidence suggests that vegetarian and plant-based diets provide exceptional health benefits, including a reduced risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and some types of cancer, and increased longevity.”
