Tell Others About Your Wonderful Chiropractor! Get The Word Out!

As a chiropractor I often state that I love my patients.  Love is really two ideas: you care for someone and you challenge them.
I am challenging all mypatients and my readers to do something.  What I am asking is to be honest with the world about being a patient of a chiropractor.
So many people love seeing their chiropractor (chiropractors report a 98% satisfaction rating with people who have seen a chiropractor for 1 or more visits).  Still, chiropractic services are used by only 13% of the population or less.
Why should chiropractic have such high satisfaction but such low usage?  Where is the dis-connect in the communication?  People don’t like their dentist as much but (14% satisfaction rating) dentistry has a 72% usage rate!
I was at a conference over this last weekend (November 16 and 17, 2013) and we heard a lecturer from a chiropractic college talk about creating a good definition of a chiropractor, this is what they came up with:
“Chiropractor: A primary care professional for spinal health and well-being”
This is a pretty good definition because whether you are aware of it or not, chiropractors treat the most important part of your body, your neurology, by the nerves and the spinal cord.  When you come to my office with back pain or neck pain or one of the many other conditions that bring patients to my door, I am treating your nerves by way of your spine.
That “snap, crackle, pop” that has come to be considered by patients to be the purpose of the chiropractic visit is really just the chiropractor assisting you to bring yourspine back into alignment.

Only chiropractors are concerned about you living a life with the fewest interferences.  Interferences come in three types:

  • Physical Trauma
  • Environmental toxins
  • Emotional Stresses
Think about it, if these three things which are important to you were also the concern of your doctor and you worked together with them to remove these interferences from your life, wouldn’t you feel and be healthier?

An aligned spine is one that can work properly and return to its function: keeping you healthy and well.
BIG TRUTH: all doctors in all disciplines only have one purpose – theybring your body to a status to take care of you without any other interference.  Interference can be drugs(which mask pain but don’t fix the problem), trauma (which must be healed so that your body can return to function), or surgery (which is meant to fix or remove obstacles to the body and its normal function).
Which is more important to you? Function or Feeling?  Do you want your body to function or do you just want to feel no pain?  Most people would choose to function properly with the consideration that this will, in time, reduce pain.
They are right – a properly functioning body, with a properly functioning nervous system which operates without pain.  A properly functioning body has a great immune system and can
STOP ILLNESSES BEFORE THEY OCCUR!

How to you get a great immune system?  Keep the spinal cord and nerves functioning perfectly – most commonly, through a chiropractic adjustment.
Really, isn’t that better than fighting illness – just never getting ill or getting ill rarely?
So why do you like chiropractic and your chiropractor?  Tell people.
Do you think that you are very smart and the people you know may not “get it” about chiropractic?  Somehow you are smarter than those around you (maybe you are!  As a matter of fact, I already think you are because you have gotten chiropractic care!).
Don’t feel so superior to others, everyone can understand chiropractic – you are special (but not that much!).  It is an easy concept that appeals to everyone: Everyone wants to live a pain-free life.  Everyone wants to be healthy and get as few illnesses as possible
If you lie or love otherpeople, tell them why you feel so good after you have seen yourchiropractor!  Suggest the good chiropractor you know to other people who can benefit!
No matter how good you feel at any moment, you can always gain from seeing a chiropractor to keep your nervous system (and your spine) in alignment.  How about suggesting to everyone that they should think about getting at least 4 chiropractic visits a year.  Yes, a year!  That isn’t so hard for people to do, right?
The whole population would be healthier and feel better if everyone would get at least 4 spinal alignments a year.

What chiropractic is NOT:

  • Never-ending series of visits
  • Weird
  • Unreasonable changes in your life
After all, you have a nice chiropractor and you don’t feel that chiropractic is a bad idea for you, right?  I am sure other people will feel the same way!

It doesn’t matter if you have insurance or not, most chiropractors will suggest a cash plan that is very reasonable.
Let’s work together readers (and my patients who are readers of this blog) let’s work together to get more people in to see a chiropractor!
