What is this blog about? [aka, why did you name it so strange?]

Chiropractic Lane (www.chiropractic-lane.com) and Safety Lane (www.safety-lane.com)

As people may have realized by now, the title of my blog is for the purpose of marketing my new status as a Certified Medical Examiner.  This was a tough designation to get and I want everything I do to be about announcing this status.

The real blog title should be something like, “Healthy Attitudes”, “Thoughtrs on Health”,  or something like that since my choice of topics will be about health, healthy living, and how chiropractic care may fit in with your healthcare choices.

Chiropractic is just one choice of health care for many people.  Along with allopathic medicine (the MD), osteopathic medicine (the DO), acupuncture (L.Ac), Naturopathic (the ND), and so on.

No one type of medicine is “the one” and all are filled with geniuses, quacks, and lazy practitioners.  Unfortunately, it is up to the patient (“the consumer”) to DEMAND the quality and results they are looking for or to have the practitioners explain why those results are not possible.

A good practitioner wants the results you want for yourself.  They should either deliver to you or assist you in finding the right person who can help you.

Also, they should like you and you should feel that you can reach out to them with your worries and concerns about your health needs.  They are not your friend; they are your teacher and mentor through the world of health.

Many people don’t know this, but “doctor” does not mean “healer”, it means “teacher” and that is our principle job.  All doctors should fulfill this role first before any other – educating the patient.

I am proud to call myself a doctor.
