Breastfeeding Reduces SIDS Risk

There are a multitude of benefits in breastfeeding for both mother and daughter. These benefits include lower risk of postneonatal mortality. A new study found that even a small amount of breastfeeding lowers sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) risk. According to the study, any amount of breast milk reduces the risk of SIDS by 60%. Exclusive breastfeeding reduced the risk by 73%.
