Joint Supplements for Athletes
A nutrient-rich diet is the first line of defense against inflammation. Unfortunately, food is not sufficient in nutrients to heal damaged structures. What ultimately matters is not what the athlete eats, but how many nutrients enter the bloodstream in order to reach target tissue. However, the necessary addition of supplements becomes problematic because of the abundance of products on the market that lack quality validated by research. Here is a partial list of my favorite research- and practice-tested supplements.
