Women Who Eat Faster Get Bigger


When your mother told you to chew your food and eat slowly, she knew what she was talking about. A new study looked at whether how fast you eat has an impact on your body mass index (BMI). This is the calculation that determines if you are overweight or obese.

After studying the eating habits of 2,500 women aged 40-50 years old, researchers reported that “the results suggest that faster eating is associated with higher BMI in middle-aged women.” So ladies, take it from mom (and share it with your children), take your time, enjoy your food and know that you will be slimmer by doing so.
